Postby 912_thompson » Thu Jan 17, 2013 12:16 am

Change ecu, checked kill switch, can anyone tell me the movement from start to the spark plugs. Bike sometimes will crank but has gotten worse. May crank 10 tmes and not move the bike then might not crank the next 10 times. Any help would be appreci

Can I surmise your looking for the test procedure?
Can you get the plastic off,eg.side covers, top shelter, right cover over the vents.
You will need a volt meter. Not a continuity tester.

Also,under the "manuals" section , download this..."Honda Goldwing GL1500 2000 Electrical Troubleshooting Manual-A6400.pdf"

It does give the schematic and parts location that I will use to diagnose your trouble.

Welcome to the forum 912_Thompson
Are you saying it doesn't always spin the starter over? Your wording isn't real clear. Please clearify.

Have you taken the battery out and had Autozone test it? These bikes require a fully charged battery especially in cooler weather temps.

Thanks for the reply. With help of a mechanic found the problem. It was the spark sensor I call it under the front cover of engine. Now cranks perfect each time. Thanks again
