Wow, that might be a task. I have no idea. If nobody has a quick answer, I would suggest asking Champion themselves.

You gotta think that Champion would have delt with the possibility of access. From what I've seen with the aid of a flexible screwdriver the screw can be removed. My buddy just sold his but did said that the tabs were removed from cover and was only held by the screw. His kit was installed in nid 90's so different dates could have change.

Thanks Robb for the help but the fender is so close that you can pull the cover off but not get it out of the way. I would not recommend a champion trike kit to anyone as they didn't install fender protectors that were paid for and paint on rear of trunk is changing color and when they were notified of these things would not remedy the problems. But I love my trike!

Is it possible to reach under and remove the front fender bolts to gain excess. Evidently Honda thought it not a problem to to necessitate bag removal for access. Why should we think a vender would try to correct.

Sorry I can't be of any help on this ,I have the same problem with my 1992SE champion trike. I emailed champion and some idot there told me to just pry it off with a screwdriver. Hope you have better luck than I did with them. I did learn from another online sorce that the tail light lense will come off by taking (3) nut's off that are under the fender-right behind the tire. If you hear of any way to get the lid ( completely ) off please let all of us know how.

I had the same problem with my 1500 trike. The solution if you remove the 2 bolts holding the fuse box it will pull out and make the cover very easy to remove.
