Can someone look at their left Handlebar

Postby Mag » Mon Feb 25, 2013 3:24 pm

and tell me (which ever is easiest) what cables are either tucked in to the handlebar cover or what is not tucked in? One thing I forgot to write down when replacing the controls. I can not find out which ones or how to tuck all in, and I should not be putting all in there.

Thx mucho!

I'll double check this evening, but as I recall the only cable outside the cover is the "choke" cable. It it secured at the bottom by molded hooks.

That would be great. I see oen cable that comes from a hard metal "L" angle (I believe that is the clutch fluid) and it angles awful tight against where the wires go inside the cover.

Any help or even a pic of it would be great, I may have the wires wrapped around each other which may be a problem.

All of the electrical wires go into the cover. The only things that aren't inside the cover are the clutch line and the choke cable.

All but clutch and choke, ok. That helps, now I just have to fit everything back in. That will be Wednesday's project (I am golfing tomorrow in 40 degree non-rainy (I hope) weather.)

Thank you for the response. I did the same thing with my choke cable and it doesn't work too well!
