I have asked this question before, ( like early last year) but i had to much fun riding my 93 1500. Here is my problem. After the bike warms up , the idle is erractic. It idles from 800-1250 rpms. The bike has alittle over 100,000 on it and i am doing my early riding maintanance. Replaced the timing belts , checked plugs, repaired a small anti-freeze leak at the thermostat housing, and thought this would be a good time to check into the idle problem.The air filter was way dirty (new one ordered),so after i get the coolant system filled, i will be ready for more trouble shooting on the idle.Any ideas before i put it all back together???? Thanks for the help and i used this site for the timing belts that went very smooth. Riding season here in Iowa can not come soon enough.

bayoudave , you nailed it. removed the carbs and the little hose right below the carbs had three holes in it. the carbs came off pretty easy. easier than i first thought. i read all the posts on the carb removal and that helped a big bunch. to sync the carbs do you just hook the balance tool up to the intake on cylinders 3 and 4? what do i use where the screw is on cyl. 3? my mercury balance tool just has hoses on it. thanks again for all the help.!!!!!
