:) hi all do u have to remove one of the header pipes to remove the exhaust collector box :?:

If you go to the "How-to Articles" for a 1200, you will find that it only took him about 15 minutes to remove the exhaust, including the bit you are talking about. It sounds like you need to undo the exhaust from the heads, to give you some wriggle room - but I could be wrong. Have you downloaded the manual from this site - the European model is very comprehensive, but the Haynes manual was not specific about having to remove. It might be a place to start looking, though.
