front gear lube

Postby ralejan59 » Sun May 05, 2013 4:36 pm

I just worked on removing the gear box to the speedometer cause it quit working a few day ago. The gear box was jammed with the plastic gears and finally got it cleaned. I ordered a new one but after cleaning it some more I think it ok. I had to use some heavy duty cleaners to cleaned the gear box and now that I have a new plastic inner gear i'm ready to put it back together but not sure what kind of lube I should use on the plastic gear. Anybody got any tips of whats best?

Use the same grease you would for the wheel bearings.
