I have a 88' bike, and bought a 91' rear wheel with tire/rotor, and when I tried to place it on the bike I noticed that the rotor was larger than the 88', so I swapped them so I wouldn't have any issues. But I need to get the 90'> dust cover to go with the rim, as the 88' is smaller and doesn't allow the 90' rim to connect the flange splines up with the rear drive.
My question is, since I have the larger 91' rotor, will this mount on a 88' rim, and still have the clearance (diameter) within the caliper? With new EBC going for an additional $65 over the 90'-00' rotor, I would end up buying another used one.
I won't know the answer of this till I remove the rear rim and mount the larger rotor on the 88', remove the flange, and temp mount on the bike and check the clearance.
