If you have the stock windshield, Honda has a clear coat on it. I had two replaced under warranty for flaking before I went to an aftermarket unit from J.C. Whitney. Waxing didn't really help. If you have those annoying swirl marks you might be better off replacing your old one. Another thought is you might try one of those headlight restoral kits to see if it does any good. Just be sure to first try it in a spot that you don't look through regularly.

I have done that and it does help a bit, especially at night.
I tried polishing out the scratches, the results were poor and I don't remember what I used, sorry. There are plenty of good replacement windshields out there.
Good Luck.

Ok guys thanks for the suggestions. I've been thinking of trying the headlight resto kit as I saw a video on it on YouBoob. Just wondered if anyone with some real sanity had tried it. Thx again...ride safe my friends!!

Here is a good product. http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/product_detail.do?q=4596 I wouldnt bother with an expensive kit. A little elbow grease and it will actually do a good job.

I had good results with this and it worked on my
daughter's headlight lens too.
Bought it at the local Harley dealer.

You could always use toothpaste for polishing the windshield. With the aid of a Dremel, you could get it to work well. (They used to use this method to clean turrets in WWII bombers).

Hello, I use plastex from walmart. $9.95 works great ,my clear coat had already started peeling so it didn't matter.

Try some brasso and this will cut out the scratch. Take off the screen, take it into the lounge or TV room and while watching TV just work away slowly and it will get done. What ever you don't spill the brasso on the floor , etc., or life won't be worth living.

When all done get the wife's best and softest tea towel to wipe it clean after you have washed the screen in warm soapy water.

Oh I forgot to mention, whatever you do don't let "She who must be obeyed" catch you using the tea towel.
