Foot brake adjustment

Postby Kiwi2 » Sun Jun 09, 2013 4:37 pm

I have noticed that the foot brake lever on my Wing has a bit more travel in it that what I want.

Apparently there is an adjustment somewhere between the brake lever and the cylinder that holds the hydraulic brake fluid. I have searched for this adjustment but have not been able to locate it.

Iv'e looked in the how-to articles and the manual but I am unable to find any information.

Any help in the matter will be much appreciated.

From my Haynes manual, at 1-8, it tells how to do it. If you use the European Service Manual, it has the directions about 3-14.

Basically it says to remove right hand (starboard) chamber protector, and exposed will be a threaded area with a nut and lock nut. loosen the lock nut, and turn the master cylinder push rod. Tighten the locknut. The pedal should finish up about 10mm above the foot peg.

The world is not going to finish today, as it is already tomorrow in Australia and New Zealand, and other islands of foreign nations such as Guam and Samoa.
