Drivers backrest suggestions

Post by liquineer » Wed Jun 19, 2013 4:03 pm

My newly triked 1988 1500 can't re-use the markland drivers backrest that I have as the bodywork gets in the way, and the grip handle mounts are now covered up. (DOH!- never noticed it on the trikers website that it covered the mounts in their picture) So I am looking for suggestions for a good bolt through backrest that slots through a slit in the seat and bolts on underneth the seat and folds down for the passenger to get on to the back easily.
I am looking to secondhand if I can acheive that, so all suggestions are welconed (Also I live in the UK- not found one there yet so hence the appeal through here)

IMO, the best is the Utopia.

Yes I have heard of Utopia I will seeif there is a UK source for secondhand, although like most things that are handy to have, probably not many going to be available secondhand.

+1 on Utopia; best backrest on the market. I could NOT ride any distance without mine. Second hand could be iffy, but they aren't that expensive - really nice folks to deal with, IMHO.

Utopia products are more expensive here as they have to be shipped internationally to the UK- most times this adds at least a 1/3 to a 1/2 again on larger items and on smaller items can cost more in shipping than the product costs.
