gl1500 vacuum line replacement.

Post by dingdong » Thu Jul 25, 2013 8:44 am

I'm getting ready to pull the carbs to address the surging idle problem. I will replace all hoses at this time. I need to know what sizes and how much vacuum hose to purchase. I really don't want to order each hose separately from Honda. Any threads or advice from others who have done this? Anything else I need to look for while in there?

I am very interested in this topic as I have 165k on my 94A and don't want problems when we move to AZ and start riding in 'more open country'. One thing I would think about once you/we get your/our bike(s) opened up this far would be to also replace any and all fuel lines. Maybe also do carb diaphrams, etc.

I await responses from our resident experts right along with you.

I do not know how much you will need, but remember, it is METRIC hose. I just picked up some bulk hose from the Honda shop for the small one that I needed to replace. All my local parts stores did not carry metric hose. You should be able to find some on line.
