Sea Foam

morning all from the uk

looking for some advice ..i have put SEA FOAM into my gl1500se to try to stop ticking valves ....how long should i run the bike ..before i change oil and filter ....or is there any need to

How much Sea Foam did you put in??

I put in 4 to 6 oz into engine oil

Seafoam does thin the engine oil out somewhat, so I don't like to run it too long, nor run the engine too hard (no lugging, no hard acceleration). I typically run it for 50-100 miles or so of easy riding - I usually go onto the local interstate, put the cruise at 65, and go for a bit. That gets the oil good and hot, and circulates it well around the engine.
