Bike Thermometer

Postby bstig60 » Sat Oct 12, 2013 10:31 pm

I recently purchased an add on digital thermometer/switch kit made for the 1800. I don't need the switches but want to add the digital thermometer to my 1500. I am looking for suggestions as to where to mount it and where to mount the sensor for the best outside temps without getting false temperature readings due to engine or radiator heat..

Same place Honda installs their ambient temp sensor, in the fork tunnel. Remove the handlebar fillers and look down to fairing metal bracket and you will see Ta sensor.
This is what I do

I mounted mine at the forward most place I could find - inside the air vent intake at the front of the fairing, just below the headlight.

That looks like a great place for the sensor. Now I have to figure out where to put the gauge.

Put the gauge on the right front lockable pocket....
