Rear brakes are dragging need some help
Went for a short drive this afternoon and my brakes made some squeeling noise. Not all the time and it happened as I was making my way home. When I got home I tried to spin the tire by hand but the brakes were dragging on the rotor. Could this be the caliber not floating right? Could it be my rear brake system is clogged and the little hole in the master cylinder is clogged? Could it be one or both caliber pistons is sticking? I guess this might be a process of elimination but where should I start?

the whole thing.Dont just work on one part.If your gonna fix it,do all of it.Pull the caliper, scrape and clean all the gunk out of it.Flush out the master and clean it.Flush the entire system with new fluid.
yea it takes time and a little cash but it may not need anything more than a good cleaning.
If your gonna work on them,do the whole job. You'll most likley have to do the rest next week when it acts up.
Ive been there.I spent a month working on brake problems.Fixing one thing after another, weekend after weekend.
On the next bike,I took a day and did all of it.No other problems.

Re: Rear brakes are dragging need some help
Thanks for the advice
How do you guys feel about replacing the rubber parts. Do you replace em all on a bike this old?

The rubber parts....If they cause any problems,yes....I don't go as far as replacing engine mount bushings unless they are loose....Same for the shock bushings..
..Yes to these items tho...
....TIRES..It's kinda nice to have good rubber on them.
Seals if they are leaking at all.
Every vacuum line and most of all the fuel lines....
Timing belts too....they are made with rubber....
I usually inspect .... replace anything that could affect the safety or reliability of the bike....
