saddlebag chrome

Postby macdaddykeith » Tue Dec 03, 2013 9:46 am

Does anyone know where I can get the chrome strip and clips for the saddlebags? This is the chrome strip that runs around the lower section of the saddlebags and has clips where each section meets. I have looked at most all of the aftermarket sites and cannot seem to find it. Part of mine was coming apart when I bought the bike a couple of years ago and it looks terrible now. It looks like it is about 15mm or so wide from top to bottom and has a protective coating on it. I have been searching for a while and have come up empty handed.

Have you checked the OEM parts fiche at CycleMax?? don't think you'll find that trim in the after market, especially since the 1500 has been out of production so long. Doubt that it ever was in the after market.

I'm guessing that Honda doesn't show it as a separate part from the saddlebag which won't help you. Pretty sure that the clips are still available.

I just found it on their OEM parts section. You have to order each molding piece and each clip. I thought that it would more expensive. I just need to get all of the part numbers that I need and place my order. Thanks for your help. I have been on the site and had not checked this section. :P

Good to know the trim is available. I have bought the little clips from Cyclemax before, to replace lost ones.
