What's this nut??

Postby Melloreel » Thu Jan 16, 2014 10:35 am

When I removed the left lower cowl this nut fell out the bottom. Can't find where it goes on the bike. Looked at parts diagrams still no help.
It's 1/2 wide and its threaded all the way thru?

It looks to be a machine screw threaded stationary speed nut. It could be from the bottom part of air box which the top screws thread into or one of the inner cowl fasteners under the pocket.
This is what I do

I would say its at least a 10 bolt so maybe fairing? Before I take all that part again, I would like to have a better idea. Thanks
