To clarify:

When you turn the hazard flasher on, only the RH signal light comes on.? Both front and rear?

When you turn the RH turn signal on, the RH signal works? Both front and rear?

When you turn the LH turn signal on, the RH signal comes on? Both front and rear?

The LH signal does not come on under any circumstance? Both front and rear?

OK. Well, at least we're not talking about a British car with Lucas wiring - that's frustrating!

Let me study it a bit; someone else might chime in the meantime.

Turn signal/hazard circuits are a bit peculiar....
The system has multiple switches involved...
One part is a momentary contact switch that activates the auto canceler circuit/turn signal circuit.
The "push" part of the switch cancels the turn signal canceler circuit.
Another part of the switch is a direction control...what lamps are to be flashing.
When the switch is pushed left,a shorting bar is moved to that position...and it stays there...even when the switch returns to the center...
That shorting bar only moves to the right position when the switch lever pushes it the other way..
I can guess that the piece that moves the shorting bar is broken and it simply is staying on one side.

Either replace the switch assembly or attempt to repair it....lots of little parts inside...
Just remember,on one part of the switch, the shorting bar should stay in its last selected position. It does not move to the middle...It's either on the left or right contacts. The canceler circuit shuts off the lamps....
There's a bit more info here...viewtopic.php?t=18412
