What's the difference?

I own an 89 1500 Wing. I bought it with a ton of "upgrades" already on it. I just saw an 89 Aspencade that looks almost identical to mine. Well, almost is really not the right word. It DID look identical minus a vinyl badge that said Aspencade. What is the difference between a regu;ar wing and an Aspencade?

There was no Aspencade or any other designation in 88 or 89.There was previously and after, but not these 2 years.88/89 pretty much came with everything other than maybe the CB.The Aspencade emblem must have been added by someone somewhere along the line.Just sold my 89 last summer.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

I have had an 89 and also currently ride an 88....both came with CBs, fully accessorized. I think it was 90 or 91 that they started making "base" models with no whistles.

My 89 has had an Aspencade badge on the left rear bag since 1989. Was in a bidding war with another who bid $100 more than me and bought bike for $14k+. We remained friends and upon his passing in 2008, he had stated in his will to give me first shot to buy. All the front parts were chrome or polished, rack and spoiler mounted and all lights, no reflectors, under mount driving lamps. Digital dash, stereo w/cassette ad cover, CB w/mike, chromed antenna mounts, cornering lamps, cruise, engine guards and air compressor w/outlet. Never wrecked or repainted and the Aspencade badge has been bike since day 1.

My bike is a real 95 GL1500A, no cornering lights or CB, no illuminated controls, no windshield vent. No rear speakers.

Well I bought a ton of parts from a wrecked 98 SE plus I have been hitting Ebay pretty hard. So I have rear speakers, installed driving lights, bought at least the RH SE illuminated controls. But when I painted bike I removed the Aspencade and Honda emblems, I think I will leave them off.
So bike has most of what an SE would have but I'm not putting any emblem back on, SE or Aspencade.

My 89 had 4 speakers....the 88 had only 2, I had to buy the others.
