Welcome aboard. 2000 was the last year Honda made the 1500. They are such a classy looking bike and very reliable. You'll find this forum very helpful and the Admin has some of the best DIY articles with clear and precise steps backed by excelent photos if you ever decide to tackle maintenance or repairs. Or just come back to chat and rib some of the regulars. It's like one giant family here.

Always amazed me at how much the Kawi looked liked a 1200 Wing.
You might very well have one of the best Wings ever built IMHO.The last year 1500 with the most factory options, how does it get better than that.I'm one of the few that think that the 15 is a better Wing than the 18
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

AS a resident nearby Milwaukee (Sussex) I would be happy to help you get familiar with your new-to-you Goldwing.
I currently have 2 GL1500's in my garage stable and do most of my own work.
Once riding season gets here I would be willing to help show you way around the bike if you are interested...

Thank you all for the warm welcome - now if the warmer weather will just hurry up !

It is true that the 1200 Voyager and 1200 Goldwing's were so very close to identical - a lot of people called my Voyager a "Wing". I cant talk bad about the ol-girl, has given me trouble free years of enjoyment with no complaints. I pray the Wing is the same :D
I ordered a new windshield from Clearview already (I had put that on the Voyager and LOVED that shield), ordered a new J&M headset and lower cord because of the different plug style Voyager.
Wingsconsin, I just might take you up on that offer sometime - thank you.

If you hang out with Wingsconsin you will not be clueless for too long.

Welcome, and enjoy your blue one.

Thanks for the high praise.
Someone once took me under his 'Wing (pun intended) and showed me a lot of what I know...
Now I just want to help another Goldwing rider and pay it forward...
