cyclemax air cleaner

Postby OnPapasWing » Sun Apr 20, 2014 1:55 pm

Going to order the air filter I need through cyclemax along with the sub filters since everything is apart. Any thoughts on quality of the lower cost filter? Anyone use that one with success? There is another one on the site but it's $10 more.
Also, are they pretty quick to ship?

Steve

The lower cost one is working fine for me so far, and as far as quickness of shipping, I just placed an order on the 16th, and it was here the 18th. they are in Ohio, i'm in Kansas City

I bought the lower priced one as well & could see no difference compared to the OEM one that I removed. If your doing the sub & cruise filters, order the spark plugs from them as well. I didn't, bought them locally & paid a lot more for them. Shipping is pretty fast with them, no week long delay with getting the order out the door, like some other places.

Yep, I did just that. Figured since I had everything apart that far it was easy to change them out and have that piece of mind that they were done.

I also ordered a couple of Chrome Lower Fairing Plugs and trunk cables. Also got a new helmet lock knob and lock rod. For some strange reason one of mine was missing.

Did not know a K&N filter was in bike when it was purchased. Since a new one was bought the old one is fro sale. $20 shipped. Small tear in rubber on right corner where it was pinched.

So does that mean you have two K&N filters now? What's the story with these? What kind of maintenance is required?

I put the new one in bike and the old one in the box. The filter is good for the life of bike and only needs cleaning and oiling at regular intervals.

I'll take it. Do you want to do paypal? We can PM the necessary info.

You don't expect the tear to get any worse or have any affect on the element do you?

Corner was pinched during install by previous owner, it's on outside of air box. Would have replaced but the new one was already oiled and ready.
