Installing Cruise Control

Postby iamthebigdogdad » Wed Apr 30, 2014 3:28 am

I just bought a 91 goldwing anniversary edition. I noticed that it has a throttle lock but no cruise control. Is possible to put a cruise unit on this bike? Thanks Big Mike :?

I suppose anything is possible ...but...The ammount of cost involved and time may well be the deal breaker...

Source a cruise module,switch control assembly,vacuum throttle control,vacuum reserve canister,wiring harness,throttle cables,vacuum control valve assembly...etc....

This thing ties into the transmission selector switch, brake circuit, clutch switch(yours may not have)carb switch(same thing) speed pulses from the spedo..(may not be avaiable either on your model) vacuum line with a reserve canister..power and ignition...insturment cluster for the indicator lights(same as above) fact you might even have to replace the insturment cluster to get the cruise functions...

Probably easier to add a palm rest to the throttle..

There MIGHT be some aftermarket add on....try Google for that.....
