1500 SE Engine relacement

Post by Huntersbane » Mon May 19, 2014 7:43 am

Hi All

Well had the death rattle on 4th for some time now. But on Saturday, (going to Kirkbride Drove to Drink Rally from Southport) Lost 4th gear totally...

So its a replacement engine search, any one have any ideas, as to where i could get one fro a 1991 1500SE. I know there is one on e-bay but been stung off that a few times and £999 seems a big whack for a second hand engine.

I can't suggest anywhere, but have you considered a specialist gearbox refurbisher for a repair?

I see that you are clear over in the UK, but you might try www.steelescycle.com , they are a large motorcycle yard and they do ship world wide. Shipping $$$ will be the big hurdle. Good luck.
