Parts compatibility

Postby tvanvran » Fri May 30, 2014 9:59 pm

I just triked my 1994 goldwing and a friend wants to buy some of the parts but needs to know if the saddle bags will work on his 1988 wing. Will the rest of the plastic parts from the back also be compatible between my 94 and his 88. Wing.

Yeah you're good to go.There were some mechanical changes over the years, but the plastics were all the same from 88 - 2000.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

The rotor and brake bracket are different also.

You have to us those parts from the 88', on the post 89' parts.

You can use the newer caliper and rotor as long as you use the caliper mounting bracket from the newer bike. There's a difference in the drive hubs as well, but it can be gotten around also.
