Valkryie exhaust pipes

Postby bjatwood » Thu Jun 05, 2014 10:09 am

Does anyone know if a set of Valkyrie pipes would fit on our beloved GL1500's? I personally feel it would make the bike look "tougher" by seeing more of the Chrome piping

That's one thing I like about my bike that I haven't seen on others. The lower metal piece that covers the muffler, I think it called chamber protector, is chrome. Any other 1500 I've seen had this part painted either the same colour as the body or silverish grey. I don't know if it's specific to a CDN model or after market part. There are other parts on my bike that are chrome that may have been changed by a previous owner. I'm not sure but I'm happy with the look and the amount. I'm not really a bike fan of all the other chrome bling available.

That Chrome belly/pipe cover does indeed look nice on that perfectly colored Wineberry-Spectra Red beauty!

What color it is depends on the color of the bike. Mine is kind of a greenish color. That's the first time I've seen a chrome one, however. I've not seen this as an aftermarket piece before - perhaps a previous owner had it chromed?

Interesting! Mine's chrome, too...and it, too is a Canadian model ('97 SE)...

Unfortunately, we seem to have derailed the OP's post. Also, unfortunately, I don't have an answer for him...

You're right but that piece chromed would give the illusion of more chrome piping and that my CDN friend is why I mentioned it.
