ELECTRICAL SOUND

Postby duffyt60 » Tue Jun 17, 2014 7:24 pm

i get a buzzing when the kickstand is down and the ignition key is turned off. This happens after I've tried to get my bike started. When I leave the bike alone for a while, I can turn on the ignition with the kick stand down and the bike will start. But once it's started, if I turn it off and then try to start it again, it will show the lights on, then when I push the starter, all the lights go out on the dash and the bike won't start. I try to put it in gear and rock it, no change. I try to use the reverse lever on and off, no change. I push the kickstand on and off a few times, no change. Then I turn the bike off, and move it back and forth and I get this short buzzing, then it goes away but the bike won't turn on. Any ideas?

I'm gonna point you to the connections at the battery posts loose or corroded....
It sounds like a complete loss of power...intermittently...
There is the Dog bone fuses to inspect also...

Buzzing noise...probably a relay that doesn't have enough power to get it to snap closed....Fix the total power loss problem and the buzzing should also disappear.

Had a similar response with mine last Sunday. Water level was only 2" high in battery. Walmart $50 battery has been good for 4 years.

Discovered that the negative connection wired had worked it self loose. Tightened the screw and all is good again. Thanks again!
