Tire Time - '96 GL1500 Aspencade

Post by Wingsconsin » Tue Jul 15, 2014 2:50 pm

I have been noticing the Michelin Commander II tire that is new to the market place.
I have them on my GS850 and like the way they feel, ride, stick and last so far.

They do not have a direct size replacement for the GL1500 rear tire --
But have 1 close that MIGHT work..

The OEM is 160 x 80 - 16 and the CII has a size of 180 X 65 - 16

It is really close for overall circumference and revolutions per mile but can the 180 width FIT ?

Any one using a wider than OEM tire -?

I have fit a 175 Darkside tire into mine and think the 180 should fit - but real world experience is always better...
