I just bought the wonderful bike and it is in great condition. Problem I am having is that there was no manual with it ad I am having a terribke time trying to start it. Im pushing up the lever for the choke, bike is in RUN position. I press the starter button and it sounds like it will start, it just won't. Not used to this kind of bike yet and the owner only told me how to start it COLD and it was HOT at the time! So... I can't ride it yet as I can't seem to get it started and previous owner sold it for his father and he can't remember. Can someone help me out please?

Obviously you've checked that there is gas in the tank.... gotta ask<G>
Could be stale gas... has it been sitting for awhile??? Try fresh gas in the tank.

It could be the battery, a weak battery will turn over the engine and it'll sound like it should start. Try putting a 12volt, low amperage (under 2 amps) charger on it overnight.

DO NOT rotate the throttle while starting with full choke. Just makes things worse. If you have... it might be flooded.
The fix to start a flooded engine IS to open the throttle full while cranking. But be ready to release the throttle as soon as the engine starts. That's important.

There are a list of things that 'could be wrong' but the battery is the most common.
Let us know if that works... and if it doesn't we can try something else.
