1500 runs then stalls out
89 goldwing runs great for a couple miles then drops to 3 or 4 cylinders, shut it off for a while and itll start right up and do the same thing again. could it be dirt in one of the carbs? settling out and then plugging it up again. any suggestion appreciated.

Sounds like fuel pump or filter to me.

Re: 1500 runs then stalls out
Need more information. Does the bike start back up immediately and run for some distance if you turn the ignition off and back on after it dies? If so, it could be the bank angle sensor going south. If not, and you say it has to sit awhile, my guess is fuel pump is bad or fuel filter is clogged, or pulse generators are bad. If the bike dies when you apply heavy throttle under load (such as going uphill), then I would check the auto fuel shut off valve located in front of the fuel tank filler cap. You can either bypass the valve or if you have a hand held vacuum pump, pull vacuum and see if it holds. If not, you need a rebuild kit for the valve. Most local dealers will tell you that you have to purchase the entire valve, however that is not true. I know the rebuild kit is available from Venco Wings. Good luck on finding your problem.
