1989 GL1500 Stock Seat report

I just wanted to stick in this forum that my 25 year old stock Gl1500 seat, the off color one that ain't black, on my wineberry bike, is the most comfortable seat I have ever laid my butt on. That is all.

I thought the same thing when I picked up my 89.I purchased the bike about 2 hours from home and by the time I got home I knew the seat had to go.Felt awesome when I first jumped on it all soft and cushy, but it was a short lived feeling for me.Glad you like it and hope the feeling lasts for you.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

I agree it is a killer seat, for around town, but you get on the open road for a few hours and it becomes a different kind of killer, at least if you are 6'2" and 300 lbs it does. lol it is a fair seat at that point. . . .I am HOPING to get a Mustang or Corbin at tax season, or at least having "gel" added to the stocker.
Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There's not some trick involved with it. It's pure and it's real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.

There is a place in Shasta Lake, CA that will redu your seat for you. I have one of theirs with vynl on the side and fabric on the top side. It has extra foam and I have ridden it plus 600 miles in a day without any irritation. It will replace the seat on my new 99........ The company name is Russell and here is a link to their site: https://www.day-long.com/

I will say the same thing about my Corbin. I've spent over 20 hours sitting on that thing and still feel great.
