GL 1500LCD Display

Post by Winger 99 » Mon Aug 18, 2014 5:38 pm

A few years ago my Lcd screen developed a black half moon shaped blacked area on the right side of the screen. It was functional but not been able to see last digit o fa fm station all others worked fine clock, radio etc. Recently the clock side and pressure is loosing it and now And unable to see pressure in the rear shocks. Any way to go check pressure besides the costly purchase of a new screen I see they are over $500.. or any way to purchase a unit cheaper or could i have a wiring problem somewhere.
Thanks for any help on this.

I just looked on ebay under gl1500 instruments, and gl1500 lcd, and each had an auction. The first was a full instrument cluster (including a working LCD panel, claimed) going for $220. The second was an LCD/lower meters going for $212. I bought a full instrument cluster a couple of months ago for $350. Hope this helps.

Have a read of the discussion at viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10743 as it discusses the issue that you are having (its towards the end). HTH
