Centerstand Mainstand removel

Hi there here i am again well just wondered if there is a easy way to remove the main stand to refurbish it and re grease as its sticking when i take it off the main stand Thanks again Dave :D

I think it is just bolted on. I've removed and reinstalled mine in the past with no issues. As long as you have a side stand, it should be a fairly straight forward process.

Where you able to get it off okay? back on too ? I am interested in having my stock center stand chromed and would like to know how hard it is to remove /reinstall .

yep sorry got it off a little bit of force needed but the bike is a 1988 dont think it as EVER been off one nut and bolt and the lower exhaust cowls of and bang It was off the LOADS of grease and Bang it was back on as good as new So Get on with it Uncle it would look great in chrome wish it was as cheap here in the UK to get it done asked a guy the other day to chrome the grill and he said it would Be £324 dont know how Much that is in $ but hell the bikes not worth that LOL :D

Thats about $500.00 US Dollars. . . WOW ! I am just guessing right now, but I think maybe $100.00 to $150.00 to get it done here, will look into it after the weekend, now you have me curious ! lol

Just did a google search for "chrome center stand for a Honda GL1500" and found them, ALREADY chromed , on Evil Bay for $80.00 US. . . . I am thinking that would be my best bet.
