CB imputs

Postby Michael Faircloth » Sat Aug 30, 2014 2:21 pm

Hi Guys
I have a 96 1500 Aspy and got a J+M CB from a friend. The one that mounts on the left handlebar.... but I need the "intagration kit" for it to work with the audio system on the bike. I have the male and female 9 pin connector plugs, but don'y know WHERE the wires coming out of the 9 pin plug would go on the bike. A call to Sierra Electonics.... they say there is a pigtail adapter for the 1500, but did not know where I could get one. Anyone have any ideas, or know where the wires connect and i'll just make my own plug. Thanks

The J&M unit you have will not integrate into the 1500 system. It is a standalone unit and requires the 6 pin condenser mic. It is impractical to convert. The unit you need is this. http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp ... -JMCB-GL15
You will notice the integration terminal and red six pin connectors to GL 1500 wiring, No 9 pin connector.

Wayne,
Thanks for the info.... I was afraid that might be the case when I looked for a way to plug it in. I will call J&M Tuesday and see if they might have a way to make it work, otherwise I'll have to look into another CB to be able to talk with others in my group.
