Trike rear differential

Does anyone know where the nut to fill the differential on 1500 trike and how much oil should be installed? : :roll: :?:

It depends on who manufactured the axle and whether it is right side up or upside down installation.

Generally the fill plug would be a 3/8 square female pipe plug in the rear cover, or the axle housing itself facing forward next to the pinion flange. A full fill on a car installation with axle housing on a level plane can be to the bottom of fill threads or slightly below sometimes.

Generally a full fill is high enough with vehicle on level ground and stationary to bathe lower portion of axle bearings and no higher than the lowest part of axle shaft seal lip.

Boy I sure do thank you all for the info. I do believe that it is in the front of the punkin 3/8 square female The conversion was done some time in 2000 by the Trike shop it is on a 1997 1500 and still going strong. I got it last year and put about ten thousand mi on it Love to keep it running good thanks.I think I posted a pic on my profile.. THANKS AGAIN...JERRY
