CB Radio channel selector
The CB turns on channel 1 and I can hear talking but when I try to change to another channel nothing happens. Does anyone know of a way to trouble shoot this problem.

Re: CB Radio channel selector
It is most likely caused by dirty/oxidized channel change switch contacts.
You can usually clear the problem by using a quality contact cleaner.
Cover the plastic on your bike. With power OFF, spray cleaner into the switch quadrant through the spaces next to the switch while operating the channel change lever up and down.
This may take a few minutes to get results but it has always worked for me. The other option is to disassemble the switch quadrant and clean it manually. If you do it this way, be careful not to loose any small parts that may come out of the quadrant.
After cleaning it out, spray some quality contact lubricant into the switches. Dry contacts wear out sooner than lubricated contacts.

Thank you I'll give that a try.
