FM radio

Post by 702scottc » Mon Oct 13, 2014 12:30 am

I have a silly issue with my radio. When the temperature drops down to the low 60's the fm radio won't work, acts like the antenna is unplugged. The AM works fine, just no fm station lock, just static. After an hour or 2 it works fine. I lubed the antenna connection in the radio and the one under the seat with dielectric grease but still the same issue.
Has anyone had a similar issue?

This kind of issue is commonly due to failing electrical components inside the radio itself - usually electrolytic capacitors. I would give Sierra MC a call as they are the only people that I know of that fix them.
