Starter/Kill switch assembly/91 GW1500I

Postby Robertinalaska! » Wed Oct 15, 2014 4:47 pm

Does anyone know where I will find the end connection plug that comes from a new Honda Kill Switch/Starter assembly? I am having trouble tracing the old assembly wires. It routes down in the front, but then comes back to one side or another. Big hands and a lack of knowledge. The things we have to have perfect to get a passing inspection in Hawaii... Thank you and enjoy your week.

The right combination switch (starter, kill switch, etc) runs down to C-57, which is a 9-pin red connector located just above the right side radiator fan. The picture below is with the fairing removed:

You can get to, disconnect and reconnect this connector without removing the fairing - but it is a huge pain to do. The fact that you are replacing this switch means that you'll likely need to remove the fairing in order to route the harness properly anyway.

Got it ! Yes, that was a chore! Found the plug, having to take the air duct out which required pulling pressure on the fairing plastic. Thank you very much. Just want you to know that it is appreciated very much.

I've pulled the air duct out before through the front turn signal, which makes it a much easier job to do.
