Ignition and dash problem

Postby Spiritus Raptor » Tue Oct 21, 2014 2:48 pm

I was doing a routine oil change etc on my 98 1500A and everything was fine. After I finished, I attempted to run the bike to circulate the oil. When I pressed the starter button, it only clicked. I tried it again and it clicked louder and then the dash went dead and I get nothing from the starter. I figured I blew a fuse, but all seem OK, checked battery terminals and load tested battery, all OK. When you turn the key, you can hear the fuel pump operating, but nothing on the dash is working and the ignition does nothing. I looked at the wiring diagram but don't see where the tie-in occurs. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the assistance.

No lights, no horn, no radio, no dash lights, no readings on the display, no ignition...

I'll try the Relay swap tomorrow, won't be able to tonight.

Thanks,
