This might be a stupid question, but is there anyway a seat off a 2002 GL1800 fit on a 1998 GL1500 Goldwing, if not has anyone ever had any success in modifying the GL1800 seat to make it fit on the GL1500 wing.

Re: Gl1500 seat question
if the seat off the 1800 is a stock seat it will be about as comfortable as a stock 1500 seat and a total waste of time, too soft

Re: Gl1500 seat question
Totally differently shaped seat pans.
Either modify your own seat, or get aftermarket 0ne

Re: Gl1500 seat question
None of the stock Wing seats are any good IMHO.If you plan on keeping the bike for long, buy an aftermarket seat.Best money you can spend on a Wing.Doesn't matter which one, although there are some that are better than others.Any aftermarket seat is light years ahead of stock as far as comfort.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.
