jack or lift for gl 1500

Postby 97serider » Fri Nov 07, 2014 5:52 pm

I am looking to buy a motorcycle lift or jack for working on my 1500. I would like something more stable that the typical ones available at sears etc., something with some height capability and semi portable, hydraulic or air. Any input appreciated, thanks, Dan

Had no problem with this lift for all but engine removal

That would certainly work, laying on the ground to do service is too cumbersome these days! Who makes them an d where can I get one? Thanks.

I have recently invested in a Handy 1500 BOB. Big enough to do trikes and bikes. Stable, pneumatically operated and high enough. I never thought that I would appreciate a lift as much as I have. My back and knees thank me.

Highly recommend a Pit Bull Lift, very similar to the Craftsman but better built and designed to last. See them at: http://www.pitbullmotorcyclelifts.com/

Here you go... This is the industry, but you will need a 30 gallon compressor as a minimum. Works like a charm. They have different models too. 1500 BOB is made for a heavier trike version, but fits bike real easy. I bought from Mile-X as their distributor. Good luck. LEt me know what you decide.
