1500 windshield

Postby glk17l » Mon Dec 01, 2014 2:20 pm

I have to get a new windshield for my 1500. Does anyone have any feed back on the "Euro Style" / "Inverted V" windshields. currently have a "Tulsa" and with my spinal problems, I keep hitting my head on it when getting on and off the bike, because I can not bend enough to clear it. I saw a couple of Wings with this windshield, and never had the opportunity to ask how it performed for the driver and passenger. If anyone has one, I would appreciate the feed back.
Thanks, glk17l.

Not sure of what you mean. Do you have a pic or a link to the shield?

Go with a stock windshield.

Maybe throw your leg forward over the seat?
I have to since my DVT and find it's rather EZ.

HD buds ribbed me til I mentioned I'd love to trade legs so they can understand my leg problem.
THAT always shuts'm up. ;)

Heard lots of good stuff about the inverted V style on cruisers. Also slip stream shields usually gets good reviews. Now that being said, if your Tulsaa is in good condition you might consider just cutting it down a bit.
You can also take it off and put a piece of weather stripping between it and where it lays on the fairing, this will move it out a couple inches at the top.

Thanks for the info, every one. I thought about cutting the Tulsa down, but the height is not the only problem, it is also the lower angle of the windshield. After taking measurements, even if I take off several inches, the pitch is so low, it is still in the way for me. If anyone has an inverted V windshield, I would like to hear from them.
