Just the switch itself, or the whole right control quadrant?

Just the switch. Though I'm assuming the whole housing needs to be removed to get to it. I just don't want springs to go flying everywhere when I take it apart.

Here is a link that shows how to clean the switch. My switch was acting fussy and I followed this process and now it works. I hope this helps.

I just did my last week after I figured how to remove the throttle cables. Springs won't go flying. The hardest part that I found was maneuvering the switch out of the assembly to take it apart. Not a lot of slack on the 5 or 6 wires leading to the switch. Good Luck!

Thanks for all the info. I managed to get the switch changed out safely and surprisingly quickly. The button itself had broken off (don't ask...5 kids....). The link was awesome!.

Excellent, I am glad you got it changed out. This Goldwingdocs site has been so helpful to me, I am glad to finally be able to help someone else.
