I THINK I FIGURED IT OUT !

Postby Uncle Fester » Sun Dec 14, 2014 12:36 pm

Okay, I have thought about putting a oil pressure gauge on my '96 1500A, and I think I figured it out. . . .

Start with this sender

http://www.vdo-gauges.com/sensors/press ... -30-2.html

This unit has a post for a 0-80 psi oil pressure gauge AND it has a post for a 7psi low oil pressure warning light. This will allow me to add a decent oil pressure gauge somewhere on the dash, as well as keep my factory low pressure warning light, best of both worlds if you ask me.

Before I try this, does anyone who knows this motor better than me have any thoughts on this please. I may not attempt this for a while, but I owuld like some more info before I tear in to it and much something up.

Just as long as the new sender/switch has the same threads as the factory switch you should be good to go. All you'll have to do is run wires and find a place for the guage to go.
