trouble shooting cruise control

1999 1/2 gl 1500...cruisze light comes on,but will not set thx

Have you listened for clicks from the switches operated by the clutch and brake levers? Aftermarket levers need some mods sometimes.

Could also be the brass bushing on the clutch lever needs replacement...they do wear out and not allow the C/C microswitch to be depressed...

+1 on this suggestion - a common problem on the 1500's
