How in the world can aperson create more room for the passenger?

On older Goldwings, there were some kits available that allowed you to relocate the trunk rearwards to give some additional passenger space. I don't know if such a thing is available for the 1500 or not, or if it's even possible.

I've found that if you mention that she needs to drop a few pounds, that there'll be a whole lotta passenger space (empty) and ample trunk space as well ! :roll:

For a more realistic solution, together with the relocation of the trunk, the padding on the backrest can be updated to better performing and thinner foam, with similar modification to the passenger seating area.

Rider's backrest is another area that may help -- the "through-the-seat" post mounted rider's backrests don't seem to crowd the passenger quite as badly...

I think you'll also find this technique will also create much more free space in your bed at night. :)
