Just finished replacing the leaking t stat on my 1990. Not the worst job in the word but certainly not the easiest. If anyone is planning to tackle this project be sure and check the DIY page for removing all the Tupperware . Goldwing administrator posted the procedure for replacing the sub and cruise filters, very easy to follow and quite thorough. Do yourself a favor and use the repair manual and remove the radiators. With the fans and radiators out of the way it's a lot easier, these bikes are snug to work on and extra room is a plus. The radiator crossover pipe needs to be replaced along with clamps. I know some folks say you can remove the thermostat with the radiators in place, I really don't see how, that thing buried in there! Seems like they built the bike around it... Only use oem parts along with the sub and cruise filters, cyclemax has everything at a good price.
