I need a GWRRA members help. . . .

Postby Uncle Fester » Tue Mar 03, 2015 3:57 pm

Okay, I need a favor from a fellow GWRRA member please.

I am looking for a years old article that was in WING WORLD, where a guy built a custom stereo on his GL1500,that included the installation of a amp, 4 speakers, and 2 8" subs behind the passengers back, in the forward trunk wall.

Does anyone have a copy of this article they could copy for me and post it here, or email it to me at Mr.Wolfskill@gmail.com... ?

I am very interested in doing this to my 'Wing some day.

Do you happen to have a month and year that the article appeared? It might be available in the GWRRA Wing World archives.

I looked through WingWorld mags back to Jan 2010 and could not find it Fester.. Sorry. I will go back through them slower, but I think to find it, it is going to mean reading them all again.

I have no clue when it was, I just know it was in Wing World magazine, it was a number of years ago now, maybe as much as 10 years ago even. I saw it at Trikes and Trailers here in okc one day, barrowed the mag to read it, and later on returned it. Unfortunatly he is no longer in business now, been gone a couple of years , and I do not know how to reach him. . . .

Until then, I Will keep looking, and hope maybe the article caught someone elses eye and they saved it. . . . THANK YOU GUYS FOR TRYING !

Why don't you just contact GWRRA directly? I'm sure they have an article index they can look up.

Nope, they don't. I contacted them when a 99' Valkyrie Interstate came up for sale in Oregon, which was advertised as the one on the cover of Wing World for their article on the then new bike, so I could verify the pedigree of the bike.

Also, wasn't there a recent post (within the last year) about someone who added an aftermarket radio to their wing? I looked, but couldn't find it.
