GL1500 "Rubber cover thingy"

Post by n5926g » Thu Apr 02, 2015 9:22 am

Hello again, while awaiting a reply on my hose question,I decided to pull up on the large rubber cover under the intake tubes to follow the route of the hoses.....This cover promptly ripped, and fell apart in my hands....Is it imperative that I replace it? and if so,where on earth do I find one...as evidenced by the subject line,I have no clue what its called.... :?

Apparently Honda didn't know what to call it either, because in the parts list, its name is just "Rubber." The part number is 19050-MT2-010 - and you can get a new one for about $50:

It is necessary - without it, you will boil off fuel in the carbs from the engine heat.
