building a homemade trike

Postby chrikenk » Wed Apr 15, 2015 5:22 pm

I am building a home made trike using a 1993 1500 wing. I was trying to know how to get by with the least of items plugged to the computer / control unit and the motor still run. thank you. for your ideas.

It depends. Do you want it to just "run" or actually "run well"? The things plugged into the ECM are typically there for a reason. Some of the things that are there for safety interlocks you can jumper and disconnect...the kickstand and bank angle sensor are two that come to mind that SHOULD be disconnected/jumpered on a trike.

Scotts right, going trike is no reason to mess with important components. I pulled my SE compressor out and cleaned up alot of wiring clutter but there was still a ton let.....

You'd have to be a wiring wiz to get a 1500 nekkid in my opinion. So many things seemed to be integril to each other, one slip up and you could be tracing wires forever..... :D
