New 1500SE Owner - Wind Wings

Postby W140amg » Sun Apr 19, 2015 1:50 pm

I recently bought a 1998 GL1500 SE. Black with 39K miles. Previous owner had several mods/acces done on it.

I have wind wings, I believe they are the show chrome 500 series.

But I need to buy new washers and spacers for the bolt. Anyone know where I can get them? The wind wings are loose.

Thanks

And these Show Chrome mini driving lights work intermittently.

I tried to tap the lights and wire, but not working. I guess the connections near the lights are okay. Ground wire is right on the bolt that holds the lights.

Any ideas?

Thanks again!

Check out an auto store in the chrome fittings sections. They might just have what you need. Some ACE Hardwares also have chrome accessories, but not all.

Check your grounds at all the points they go to the bike. Could be rust insulating the contact points at the frame. Ohm out each ground to the frame and look for minimal ohms, as close to zero as possible. Anything above, say .5 ohm is not working right and needs attention.
