Unfortunately Honda has discontinued several of the "kinked and/or bent" coolant hoses for the GL1500.

Is there any metal piping that takes the place of the "Kinks & Bends" where very short pieces of rubber hose makes the NearZero end connections?
OH, YOU KNOW....
Someone who's enterprising enough to put forth the effort on all these HUNDRED-of-THOUSANDS of 1500's still on the road and running miles, after miles, after miles, after miles, after miles, after miles...?

HUMMMMMmmmmmMMM?

I would'a but I have yet to take my 1500 apart that far.

I looked into a product called Unicoil by Gates, which is supposed to permit up to 90 degree bends in straight hoses without kinking. I purchased a couple of these as a test, and for 5/16 hose (in lieu of 7mm hose), I found that the bend radius was too large for the tight spaces under the manifolds and carbs.

I did a little research online and found a couple of 90 degree fittings with barbed ends. Brass ones were about $5 and I looked at stainless steal ones that were about $15. I did not purchase them, but they seem to be an alternative to the OEM 90 degree tubes that are no longer available.

For the kinked ones, perhaps the Unicoils would help mold an appropriate hose.

Some members have suggested silicone tubing as an alternative, but I do not know how tight bends would be made with it.

Silly Cone tube don't hold up in time, too wet and dry out too quick. HENCE the metal piping.
Similar to surgical tubing, shelf life = short.

The problem with metal tubing is that it is stiff, and does not take to vibration well. Whereas rubber tubing shrugs off vibration, metal eventually fatigues and cracks.

Understandable on the vibrations and cracks, both rubber and metal can/will.
But which will last longer, rubber or metal?

The metal that's connected with short rubber tubes will absorb the vibrations.

JUST thinking ahead before I take the Carb of for rebuilding, someday.
